- ➤ North Dakota’s latest drought monitor shows that 58.28% of the state is experiencing drought, a drop from higher figures seen earlier in May after record rainfall mid-month, but many western areas, dry since last year, still face severe conditions. An investigative report linked low morale to leadership issues and named former commissioner Tate Cymbaluk, who disputed its findings, while Mayor Howard Klug said a new chief will be selected next month.
