- ➤ On December 1, the James Memorial Art Center launched its annual Membership Drive to help preserve its historic 1911 building by funding essential projects—especially replacing its failing sewer line. - ➤ The Together for School Meals coalition submitted a petition to allow all students to receive free breakfast and lunch in fall if approved. Lawmaker Scott Louser warned of funding concerns—citing potential state costs of about $70 million over two years—and the group needs roughly 31,000 signatures to get the measure on next year's ballot. - ➤ CHI St. Alexius Health Williston welcomed two new providers—Dr. Ali Syed will work in the Primary Care Clinic after completing his residency in Minot with a focus on behavioral health, addiction, and geriatrics, and Erika Frey, ACNP-AG, will serve the Specialty Clinic after three and a half years as a perioperative nurse.
