- ➤ The Missouri-Yellowstone Confluence Interpretive Center near Williston will host a free family-friendly Confluence Learning Lab at 2 p.m. Saturday, November 22, where participants will explore traditional pottery techniques and create coiled clay vessels using local methods+ showcasing history and art. - ➤ Great Northern Events Center in Historic Downtown Williston will host The Stage live music event on November 15 featuring Pure Prairie League and other acts, as doors open at 2 p.m. and the headliner takes the stage at 8 p.m.—tickets cost $50 and the venue aims to become a key entertainment spot in the region. EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ Williston State College will start its new Medical Assistant and EMT programs in the new Healthcare Training Facility in January—The one-year Medical Assistant program teaches patient care and office skills while the one-semester EMT course trains students for emergency rides with local ambulance services, and Spring enrollment is open. HEALTH NEWS
- ➤ North Dakota submitted its application last week for the Rural Health Transformation Plan to boost healthcare in remote areas, using funds provided by the federal Big Beautiful Bill. The state will receive about 500 million—supporting measures like mobile clinics and telehealth—while lawmakers plan a special session in January or February to finalize the funding and policy actions. - ➤ Blue Cross Blue Shield of North Dakota is offering grants for rural health projects that may fund veteran support and help students and families with awards ranging from $5,000 to $7,500. Applicants must submit proposals by 5 p.m. on Nov. 14 to support community-driven projects. KFYR-TV
