BUSINESS NEWS
- ➤ Officials from WBI Energy updated lawmakers on the Bakken East Pipeline—designed to move natural gas from the Bakken to Mapleton and Ellendale—to support power generation and potential data center needs. Mark Anderson said the company will sign customer agreements next year while construction is scheduled to start in 2028 after the Industrial Commission approved up to $500 million in August. KFYR-TV
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ In the coming weeks, deer hunters in Williston must follow rules that require 400 square inches of solid fluorescent orange above the waist—along with an orange hat—and always carry their deer tag. Hunters must validate their tag immediately when they harvest a deer, and those transporting another’s deer must have proper permits. KFYR-TV
- ➤ Delta cancelled two flights at our airport between Saturday and Monday as the FAA reduces flights due to the government shutdown. The cuts will increase through the weekend to help manage air traffic controller staffing challenges and keep passengers safe. KFYR-TV
SPORTS NEWS
- ➤ Sawyer native Gage Florence broke the Division II record for career receptions with 387 catches during a game on Saturday — he surpassed the previous mark of 386 catches while playing for Minnesota State University Moorhead. The senior had 10 receptions in that game and will play his final regular season contest next Saturday. KFYR-TV
