CULTURE NEWS

  • The Grand Theatre opened a new display in its lobby with rare photos and captions that show over 100 years of Williston history—highlighting civic life, presidential visits, and Main Street changes. EDUCATION NEWS

  • Williston Basin School District will convert the ASB Center, originally built as Innovation Academy, into a Pre-K center starting next school year to serve a growing number of Pre-K students and a wait list of around 100. Superintendent Jason Germundson said the building’s breakout rooms—ideal for small group sessions and special-ed services—will help the district reconfigure class locations with the upcoming opening of Sloulin Elementary.  KFYR-TV
  • A new ADA-accessible playground opened at Hagan Elementary School after installation delays—providing ramp access and safe play areas for all children. The facility is designed to meet current accessibility standards—ensuring equal play opportunities for every student.  Williston Herald

  • Western Cooperative Credit Union pledged $100,000 to Spring Lake Nature Center—funds will be provided over the next three years.  Williston Herald

  • Officials at the Department of Health and Human Services are finalizing an application to secure at least $100 million per year in federal grant funds for improving rural healthcare.
