In August, North Dakota recorded 20,177 producing wells and 1.16 million barrels per day of oil, with market prices 33.6% above forecast helping tax revenue expectations rise to about $650-700 million for infrastructure.
Officials said oil prices will eventually drop to around $62 a barrel as market conditions adjust.
