- ➤ Williston Community Library Director Andrea Placher was named the 2025 Librarian of the Year by the NDLA after nearly 15 years of service when she received the award on October 2 at the NDLA Annual Conference banquet. GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ The U.S. Senate confirmed North Dakota State Superintendent Kirsten Baesler as the future assistant secretary of education, and a formal confirmation could occur as early as next week — she has led North Dakota’s education system since 2013. KFYR-TV
