- ➤ Monica Hannan retired Friday after over forty years as a news anchor at KFYR-TV—she began her career at a Williston station in 1982 and later became the first female 6:00 anchor and news director, mentoring many colleagues. ACCIDENTS NEWS
- ➤ A fast‑moving grass fire south of Williston in McKenzie County forced temporary evacuations near 145th Avenue — 42nd Street NW on Friday, and officials confirmed at 5:45 p.m. that the fire was contained and residents could return. KFYR-TV
ENVIRONMENT NEWS
- ➤ Williams County Vector Control District will conduct ground adulticide treatments with DeltaGard near sunset today in Grenora, Trenton, Williston Spray Block 7, and in the Lake Jessie area of south Williston—weather permitting. Residents must stay at least 300 feet away from treatment trucks and take steps to avoid mosquito bites. Williams County
