COMMUNITY NEWS
- ➤ Williston Parks and Recreation approved a process and interview committees to hire a construction manager at risk for two community projects — a year-round ice facility at Williston Square and a redesigned 18-hole golf course with a new clubhouse and practice range. Contracts will be formed by the end of the year, and both facilities will open to the public in 2028. KFYR-TV
EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ Williston Basin School District #7 is hosting a hiring event later this month to fill nearly 100 open positions across its schools + the district aims to recruit qualified teachers and support staff to meet staffing needs. Williston Herald
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ North Dakota Secretary of State Michael Howe said that his office is increasing voter turnout ahead of June and November 2026 elections by using secure and simple voting with valid ND ID since the state does not need formal registration. His office will also launch an I Voted sticker design contest— a reminder for local voters— as Howe said federal proposals will not change long-established election practices. KFYR-TV
