ACCIDENTS NEWS
- ➤ Williams County Sheriff’s Office confirmed that a death at Epping-Springbrook Dam last week was ruled accidental after paramedics responded on Sept. 1 to an unconscious woman with an underlying medical condition. KFYR-TV
EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ Williston State College will dedicate its new synthetic turf fields at the Kasmer and Aafedt Athletic Complex on September 13 at 11:30 a.m., marking a historic investment in local baseball and softball facilities. The project began construction in May 2024 with strong local support—bringing together community members, donors, alumni, and student-athletes for the upcoming ceremony. Williston Graphic
HEALTH NEWS
- ➤ The Williams County Vector Control District will use DeltaGard for ground applications in Ray and Trenton and Imperium for aerial sprays in Grenora and Williston’s Spray Block 8 from September 9 until September 14, with treatments occurring after sunset if weather permits. Residents are advised to stay 300 feet away from vector control trucks during operations—this safety distance is required to limit exposure to chemicals. Williams County
