Olivia Storbakken of Level Up Cleaning Services—founded in 2023 in Williston—is expanding cleaning by offering licensed, insured residential and commercial services that use natural products for healthier homes while mentoring women in the industry.

Her business focuses on integrity, detailed work, and excellent customer care, proving that cleaning can be a respected and empowering profession.

Daniel Jenkins, a Williston man who pleaded guilty Tuesday to stealing vehicles, trailers and electric wiring in four counties—Williams, Burke, McKenzie and Mountrail, was sentenced to three years in prison, ordered to pay more than $17,000 in restitution, and said he has a job lined up to correct his mistakes.

Today, Williams County released its preliminary 2026 budget that may increase by $17 million over last year—showing an anticipated total of over $149 million and including a $500,000 boost in property tax levies that will help pay for jail improvements and community projects.

A public hearing is scheduled for Sept. 16 at 8 a.m.

Dr. Sara Kenney, a local psychologist who returned from California, works to ease the shortage of doctors and mental health providers in our state.

She said her return was driven by high depression rates among local farmers and she supports recruitment programs that include loan repayment plans as North Dakota faces a shortfall of professionals by 2040.
