CRIME NEWS
- ➤ Daniel Jenkins, a Williston man who pleaded guilty Tuesday to stealing vehicles, trailers and electric wiring in four counties—Williams, Burke, McKenzie and Mountrail, was sentenced to three years in prison, ordered to pay more than $17,000 in restitution, and said he has a job lined up to correct his mistakes. - ➤ Today, Williams County released its preliminary 2026 budget that may increase by $17 million over last year—showing an anticipated total of over $149 million and including a $500,000 boost in property tax levies that will help pay for jail improvements and community projects.
