CRIME NEWS
- ➤ Ross Petrie, a man from Pocatello, pleaded guilty to manufacturing bombs and methamphetamine in a Williston apartment in 2022 and will serve 25 years in prison after police recovered nearly 1,500 pounds of explosives that officials said posed a severe risk to residents—police noted the explosives could have destroyed the entire complex. - ➤ Magician Jared Sherlock presently performs at the state fair where he entertains with award-winning illusions and family-friendly comedy—he has performed there three times. After today, he will head to New York for a corporate event. KFYR-TV
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ North Dakota’s state fire marshal warned long-term care providers, families and caregivers to review oxygen safety after a fire at a Massachusetts assisted living facility killed 10 residents earlier this month. He urged homes to check that oxygen equipment—such as thermal fuse cutoffs—is maintained properly to prevent a small spark from turning into a deadly blaze. KFYR-TV
- ➤ The Williams County Vector Control District will spray Imperium (which contains Deltamethrin) in Grenora this evening or tomorrow, with the mission postponed if weather conditions are poor. Residents are advised to take extra precautions against mosquito bites. Williams County
