  • The Peace Garden celebrates the Summer Floral Celebration with a handshake event across the border—an act honoring Dr. Henry J. Moore, a horticulturist and teacher from Islington who envisioned a 'place of peace' in 1928.  Williston Herald

EDUCATION NEWS

  • The Williston Basin School Board met this week to discuss frozen federal funds for teacher training and other programs and noted that the after-school services are managed by Williston Parks and Recreation—Business Manager Mike Arnold said more than 700K dollars, mostly for professional development, has not yet been tied to payroll costs.  KFYR-TV

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • The Williston Fire Department will host a ceremony on Tuesday, July 29 at 6:30 p.m. at Fire Station 2, 610 58th Street West to honor 17 personnel for promotions, certifications and life-saving awards.
