- ➤ On Thursday, the Williston Area Chamber of Commerce will host a commemoration ceremony to honor Katie Brewer’s Leadership Williston Project 'Planting Roots'—a celebration that marks her contributions to the initiative. Williston Herald
- ➤ Boys and Girls Clubs of the MonDak will host free summer meals for kids and teens 18 and under this summer—no application or registration is needed. The program will serve meals to support local families during the warmer months. Williston Herald
CRIME NEWS
- ➤ Over the past two weekends, NDHP led a multi-agency aerial operation in Williston and Fargo and issued 15 citations plus 16 warnings to drivers for reckless driving using aircraft and FLIR technology. Williston Herald
EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ The Williston Basin School District’s free summer meals program has started this week and offers a breakfast option at McVay Elementary from 7:30 to 8:15 in the morning for those 18 and under, while adults pay $5. The district will also serve lunch at four stops—Williston Garden Apartments from 11:00 to 11:35, Davidson Park from 11:00 to 11:35, McVay Elementary Door 4 from 11:15 to 12:00, and Housing Authority Park from 11:45 to 12:30. - ➤ At the Williston Basin Career and Technical Education Center, four students completed the inaugural firefighting course that provided state certifications—Instructor Lt. Josh Larson said the program will be offered again this fall. KFYR-TV

- ➤ The Department of Homeland Security claimed several North Dakota counties were acting as sanctuary cities but later removed the statement from its website. HEALTH NEWS
- ➤ Health officials say those who visited Walmart on May 24 from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. or the Chatter Clinic on May 27 from 10 a.m. to 1:15 p.m. should monitor for measles symptoms and isolate if unvaccinated—until June 14 for Walmart visitors and until June 17 for Chatter Clinic patients—after 14 cases were confirmed in Williams County. - ➤ The Williston State College Clay Target Team finished its most successful spring season by placing 4th overall in Conference 6 of the USA Clay Target League with 20 athletes competing over five weeks.
