➤ Members of the Sixth Infantry Regiment Association revived a forgotten tradition on Monday by marching from Old Armory to Riverview Cemetery to honor Civil War veterans. They placed small white and Confederate flags on graves (including 25 Union and 2 Confederate soldiers) and plan to continue the ceremony next year. Williston Herald

➤ Sloulin Elementary School in Williston is on track to open this fall and will house up to 600+ students. Officials say the school is preparing to welcome its first class for the upcoming year. KFYR-TV
