- ➤ At Fort Buford, the Sixth Infantry Regimental Association will hold its annual encampment this weekend to mark the fort's 150th anniversary. The event will feature a 37-star flag and be followed by a reenactment at Fort Abraham Lincoln in July. Williston Herald
- ➤ On Monday, May 25, the Fort Buford Sixth Infantry Regimental Association revived a Civil War tradition by marching from the Old Armory to Riverview Cemetery at 7:00 a.m. and placing flags on 25 Union veterans’ graves — the ceremony preceded the main Memorial Day event at 11 a.m. with the American Legion. - ➤ Tickets for the Miss North Dakota and Teen Scholarship Competitions are on sale for events June 10-13 at Bakken Auditorium at Williston Central Campus Middle School; prelim fees are $25 + $40 for finals.
