  • American State Bank & Trust held the Syttende Mai celebration on May 18 where Sons of Norway shared live music and treats. The lodge will host a summer picnic on June 23 at Davidson Park at 6 p.m. and relocate indoors to 720 Fourth Ave. W if it rains.  Williston Herald
  • Meteorologist Jacob Morse presents the Summer of Tornadoes documentary that shows North Dakota’s record 82 tornadoes from summer 2025 on a TV air version. The film offers local viewers clear insights into these dramatic weather events.  KFYR-TV

  • North Dakota’s state geologist Ed Murphy (with a 49-year career marked by encounters with rattlesnakes, black widows and rabies) will retire on July 1; Clint Boyd is set to replace him.  Williston Herald
