- ➤ Williston Police Department announced it will hold its Annual Bike Rodeo on June 4 to engage local youth and families in bike safety activities. The event aims to build skills and confidence among participants. Williston Herald
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Starting Aug. 1, every public board meeting in North Dakota must include a public comment period under Senate Bill 2180 signed by Gov. Kelly Armstrong on April 30—local entities such as school, park, and water districts must allow comments limited to current or previous meeting agendas with set time limits. Williston Graphic
- ➤ Federal cuts ended AmeriCorps contracts with the Souris Basin Planning Council two weeks ago, affecting 84 members statewide including Minot State freshman Kylie Anderson who now must find new ways to pay for college & keep vital services running. KFYR-TV
HEALTH NEWS
- ➤ CHI St. Alexius Health Williston is taking steps to protect patients—and staff—after measles cases were confirmed in Williams County. The hospital is working with public health officials to monitor the situation and advise community members on possible symptoms. Williston Herald
SPORTS NEWS
- ➤ Today, the Williston State College Tetons clinched the top seed in the NJCAA Region XIII Baseball Tournament and are hosting postseason games at Rabon Field from May 9 to May 11. Head Coach Mason Przybilla said the team used strong pitching to earn the seed, and game times may change if a match finishes early or runs long—fans are encouraged to watch the tournament.
