- ➤ Farmers are facing steep fertilizer and diesel price hikes that may force adjustments to spring planting plans. Diesel is nearing 5 dollars per gallon and rising fertilizer costs are straining farm budgets. Williston Herald
- ➤ At Tuesday’s media briefing in Bismarck, state oil experts said February’s numbers do not yet show price swings after the war with Iran began Feb. 28; wells produced 31.6 million barrels & drilling rig plans remain flat for 2026. Williston Herald
EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ Williston State College announced a new Degree Bridge program that lets students begin degrees in Williston and complete bachelor's programs at DSU + MaSU; Minot State University will join in fall 2026 and Valley City State University will join by fall 2027, expanding local career paths. GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Effective immediately, April 21, 6:45 a.m., the portion of 118th Ave NW (CR 8C) from Hwy 2 south two miles to 62nd St NW is limited to a 6-ton axle weight and an 80,000 LBS maximum due to frost damage. The restriction remains until further notice. Williams County
HEALTH NEWS
- ➤ Theo Stoller, serving since March 2, was commissioned Tuesday at CHI St. Alexius Health Williston Medical Center by community staff and religious leaders, and he pledged to lead with service and uphold the center's Catholic values. Williston Herald
