  • Summit Carbon Solutions is asking North Dakota judges to dismiss appeals in different legal challenges to its five-state carbon capture and storage project — a request the company filed to overcome legal barriers. The company says this move — which comes amid ongoing disputes — will help its project move forward.  Williston Herald

ECONOMY NEWS

  • A company in Williams County will conduct a field test this summer to convert produced water into lithium, hydrochloric acid, and caustic soda—Wellspring Hydro received $2 million from the Clean Sustainable Energy Authority and is partnering with Volt Lithium to fine-tune the process before a full plant startup.  KFYR-TV

EDUCATION NEWS

  • More than 200 seventh graders attended Scrubs Camp at Williston State College on Wednesday to learn about different health careers and take part in hands-on activities — the event, now in its 12th year, was made possible by a Rural Collaborative Opportunities for Occupational Learning in Health grant.  KFYR-TV
  • ND Farmers Union has opened camp registration for summer camp sessions that will run from June 9 to June 16. The camps — one for 3rd-6th grade and one for 7th-12th grade — offer an early bird price for those who register before May 15 and do not require campers to be farmers.  KFYR-TV
