ECONOMY NEWS

  • Rancher Steven Fallgatter of Flying F Ranch in Driscoll said mild weather allowed him to start calving three weeks early in mid-February which improved his profits. He noted that record-high cattle prices increased his earnings for December and January sales + his calves grew larger sooner for higher market value.  KFYR-TV

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • Gov. Kelly Armstrong wants the property tax relief and reform bill signed soon as the Senate Appropriations Committee recommended a version for a floor vote—this modified bill caps the primary residence tax credit at $1,250 and limits homeowner benefits to 75% of their tax liability while further debate and possible changes are expected before it reaches the House.  KFYR-TV
