Williston Airport Director Anthony Dudas said commissioners approved a new contract with Sun Country Airlines for direct flights to Las Vegas from Sept.

4 to Dec. 15 this fall — flights will now run on Mondays and Thursdays instead of Sundays and Thursdays — to help counter a 14% drop in passenger numbers after public feedback. Dudas also noted plans to market more to regional travelers amid challenges like brand recognition and staff shortages.

A Fargo woman was arrested on Monday, March 24 for allegedly stealing over $430,000 from a family member.

Williston commissioners approved plans for the Fighting Pike Data Center on Tuesday.

The three-phase project run by Critical Data House will be built alongside Highway 2 and 85 southwest of Love’s with phase one set for completion by the end of 2026 and full operation targeted by 2031 — a third-party consultant will ensure noise mitigation measures are applied and maintained.
