Reede Construction will begin work next month to reroute Highway 2 through Williston Square and create a new intersection, turning the current crossing at 2nd Avenue and 26th Street into a T-intersection—most work is expected to finish in October with permanent striping next year and the project will cost over $23 million shared by NDDOT and the City. Mayor Howard Klug said the long-term project aims to improve traffic flow in town.
A major roadway project to reconfigure Highway 2 is scheduled to begin on April 1 in Williston—construction will start on that day.
