About this event

The Missouri-Yellowstone Confluence Interpretive Center near Williston will host the first meeting of “Reading on the Frontier Junior Book Club” on Saturday, Nov. 7, from 10 to 11 a.m.

For the inaugural meeting, participants will read “Westward Expansion: An Interactive History Adventure” together and discuss what they learned. They will then create their own ox carts to take home.

Designed for young readers ages 8-14, this monthly book club encourages good reading habits while introducing children to North Dakota history, nature, science, and the people that have shaped our region. Each meeting features a book, a group discussion, and a hands-on craft or activity that brings the reading to life.

Listed by State Historical Society of North Dakota (Google Calendar), gathered by the Williston events calendar.
